About Thursday Night
On Thursday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 27 points and Khris Middleton had 24 to lead Milwaukee. Bobby Portis added a season-high 23 points for the Bucks.
Joel Embiid scored 24 points for the 76ers.
The Bucks broke out to a 10-0 lead and extended it to 33-13 later in the first quarter. Milwaukee made its first 10 shots from the field, including five three-pointers.
The Bucks were comfortably ahead until the 76ers closed the gap to six points with seven seconds remaining. That forced Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer to put his starters back into the game to close out the win.
Both teams shot well as the Bucks were 55.6% (45 of 81) overall, including 50.0% (20 for 40) from beyond the arc. The 76ers made 50.5% (46 of 91) of their field goal attempts, including 44.4% (12 of 27) from three-point range.
Another Double-Double for Giannis
Antetokounmpo also had 16 rebounds and six assists. He notched his 34th double-double of the season and fourth in his last six games while helping the Bucks hold a 45-33 rebounding advantage.

Tobias Harris added 18 points and six rebounds. He returned to the lineup after missing three games with a bone bruise in his right knee.
Seth Curry also was back in action after missing the previous game with left hip flexor soreness. Curry made all three of his three-point tries and finished with 11 points.
Ben Simmons missed his third straight game because of an undisclosed illness and has also been ruled out for Saturday. George Hill started in Simmons’ place at point guard Thursday but did not record an assist in 21:08.

Furkan Korkmaz could get the nod at the point if healthy. He is listed as questionable, though, after sitting out Thursday with a sprained ankle.
Can Sixers Gain Split?
The Bucks have won the last four games in this series. They have already beaten the 76ers twice in 2020-21, clinching the season series and giving Milwaukee a tiebreaker over Philadelphia for potential playoff seeding.
Philadelphia closed strong Thursday night and is getting healthier. While the 76ers will again miss Simmons matching up against Holiday, look for them to at least keep things close in the rematch.
The Pick: 76ers +7.5 (-110)
