All odds as of April 22nd.
Prop #1: Jose Urena Over 4.5 Strikeouts
The first prop to attack is over 4.5 strikeouts for Detroit’s Jose Urena at plus odds. No one is going to mistake Urena with an ace, but he is coming off his best start in two years. Last time out, the 29-year-old fanned eight Oakland batters over 7 innings, while surrendering just two runs.

Urena boasts good velocity (95+ mph) and has actually exceeded 4.5 strikeouts in two of three starts this season. His 25.4% K rate is the highest of his career, as is his 15.3% called strike rate.
His opponent Pittsburgh meanwhile, averages 9.3 strikeouts per game, and are only two games removed from fanning 14 times against Milwaukee.
Pick: Jose Urena Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+126)

Prop #2: Adam Frazier 2+ Hits
Sticking with the Pirates-Tigers contest, the next prop to attack is 2+ hits for Pittsburgh’s Adam Frazier. The 29-year-old has racked up three multi-hit performances in his last five outings, and seven over the course of his 17 outings. He’s tied for the team lead in batting (.308), and is a career .500 hitter versus Urena.
Adam Frazier’s last 8 games:
12-for-32 (.375), 4 doubles, 1 triple, 7 RBI, 6 Runs, 4 Walks, 3 K’s

Despite Urena’s strikeout prowess as detailed above, he still struggles to keep hitters off the base path. He’s allowed 25 baserunners in 14.2 innings, while Frazier has struck out only six times, the second fewest among Pirate regulars.
Pick: Adam Frazier 2+ Hits (+145)
