We’ve finally reached the last week on the KBO regular season calendar. The NC Dinos have wrapped up the regular season title, and while the other four playoff teams are set, seeding is still up for grabs.

The defending champion Doosan Bears are one of four teams jockeying for position and will begin the week in fifth place, just two and a half games back of the second place LG Twins.

Doosan has three games left on its schedule, beginning on Tuesday, at 5:30 am eastern, against bottom-feeder Hanwha.

 KBO Odds: Tuesday, October 27th

Team Moneyline Runline Over/Under Run Total Game Time (Eastern)
Hanwha Eagles +360 +2.5 (+106) Over 8.5 (-122) 5:30 a.m.
Doosan Bears -500 -2.5 (-134) Under 8.5 (-106)

Samsung Lions +148 +1.5 (-134) Over 10.5 (-110) 5:30 a.m.
NC Dinos -182 -1.5 (+106) Under 10.5 (-116)

Odds as of  Oct. 26th at FanDuel.

Given the fact that the Bears are in thick of a competitive race for seeding, and the Eagles haven’t had anything to play for in months, it’s actually quite surprising that the runline isn’t higher.

Flexen is Automatic

The -2.5 runline is even more favorable for Doosan since Chris Flexen will be on the mound. The 26-year-old has been virtually flawless over his last three starts, allowing just one run over 20 innings.

Last time out, he scattered just three hits over 7 scoreless innings and struck out 12 Lotte batters. The lofty strikeout total was one off his season-high, which he set back in September against this Hanwha squad.

He hasn’t given up more than two runs in five straight starts, and has posted a 39-3 strikeout to walk rate over that stretch. He ranks top-six in both ERA and WHIP, and has surrendered more than two earned runs once since July 4th.

The Eagles meanwhile, will counter with rookie Woong Jeong Jang, who’ll make just his second career start. He 23-year-old only lasted 4 innings in his KBO debut, and wasn’t a highly touted prospect. A short outing against the high powered Bears lineup seems likely, which should give Doosan plenty of cracks against Hanwha’s sixth ranked bullpen.

Pick: Doosan Bears -2.5 (-134)

SK is the Play

Elsewhere in the KBO, a pair of teams just playing out the stretch will collide when SK faces Lotte. The Wyverns offense showed a surprising amount of life last week, posting at least nine runs in two of three games. They’ll look to continue their hot play on Tuesday, when they face Kyung Eun Noh, a pitcher they’ve dominated in the past.

SK has roughed up Noh on three separate occasions, tagging him for nine runs and eight hits in his last start. Noh has given up at least four runs in every appearance versus the Wyverns, and has a brutal 15.19 ERA.

SK will give the ball to Ricardo Pinto, who is far from a sure thing. The right-hander was rocked for seven runs and 11 hits last time out, lasting just 3.2 innings against KT Wiz.

He is 2-1 versus Lotte however, and was especially sharp in their last meeting. That day he held the Giants to one run and four hits in 6 innings of work. I’ll roll with SK plus the over in this one.

Pick: SK Wyverns moneyline (+136), Over 9.5 (-130)
