Best bets from Belmont Park on Sunday

Nick Shiambouros struck again when his best bet Essential Quality won the Belmont Stakes in great style. Nick heads back to New York with two more selections…

She So Naughty worth another go

Race 6 20:34 Belmont Park – She So Naughty

I am going to give She So Naughty another chance in this interesting $30k non-winner of two on the inner turf.

This filly finished fourth to Smooth Pebble in a $40k non-winner of two over this course last month. She was impeded a furlong from home, which cost her momentum and valuable ground. Trainer Rob Atras drops her in class, and cuts her back in distance which is a positive move. This is a competitive race so BSP is recommended.

Miss Brazil the boss

Race 7 21:08 Belmont Park – Miss Brazil

Miss Brazil is my best bet of the day in this Stakes race on the main track.

This talented filly was entered in the Grade 1 Acorn yesterday, but opted for this less competitive event. She won a Stakes race at Aqueduct in great style in February, and followed up with a gallant second to Search Results, who won the Acorn. The form is rock solid, and has been working brilliantly over the track. Trainer Anthony Dutrow has done a wonderful job with her, and should be rewarded with a big effort. Anything around her Morning Line price of 2.89/5 will do.
