Round 8 of the Premier League is set to get underway on Friday, November 6. Brighton will host Burnley at 12:30 pm EST, while Southampton hosts Newcastle at 3:00 pm as part of a double-header.

Ahead of this weekendโ€™s matches, weโ€™re looking at which games have taken the most money, as well as how odds have adjusted throughout the week, plus a few other betting trends to consider heading in EPL Round 8.

The table below shows a comparison between the percentage of bets made versus the percentage of money taken on some of the most bet teams this weekend.

Premier League Round 8 Betting Trends

Matchup % of Bets % of Money
Brighton vs Burnley 67% (BHA) 81% (BHA)
Southampton vs Newcastle 55% (SOU) 67% (SOU)
Crystal Palace vs Leeds United 61% (LEE) 60% (LEE)
West Ham vs Fulham 82% (WHU) 93% (WHU)
Arsenal vs Aston Villa 67% (ARS) 50% (ARS)

Percentages taken as of November 6

The first match of the weekend sees Brighton taking action over last place Burnley. Brighton are no great shakes themselves, with just one win in seven and none in their past five. Brighton were 2-1 winners at Burnley last season, while the teams drew 1-1 at todayโ€™s venue. That draw was the sixth draw in the past nine meetings between these two.

Arsenal and Aston Villa are both tied with 12 points in the Premier League table. At home at the Emirates, they are favorites, however, we have seen some reverse line movement. The Gunners are taking a large proportion of the bets, but the actual money is 50-50. The line has swung against Mikel Artetaโ€™s side as you can read below. Arsenal had won seven-straight against Villa, prior to dropping a 1-0 result on the road on July 21.

Biggest Line Movements

Hereโ€™s a snippet of some of the biggest line moves from Premier League Round 8, comparing the odds from Friday, October 30 at Bet365 to the current odds of today.

Last Friday Southampton was a -138 favorite at home to Newcastle. The edge of money coming in on Newcastle now sees Southampton as only an even-money (+100) favorite. This could be related to the recent injury suffered to star striker Danny Ings who will be out of the lineup for four-six weeks with a knee injury.

Despite an overwhelming amount of bets and money on West Ham, their odds have remained about the same (-118 to -120).

No surprise here. Tottenham was a -188 road favorite last week, but bettors have piled onto the Spursโ€™ side pushing that number to -223 against lowly West Brom.

The biggest Premier League match of the weekend has basically remained unchanged in the odds. Man City was listed as an even-money (+100) favorite last week over Liverpool. They are now listed at -106.

Despite bets coming in on the Gunners, Arsenal, who was listed at -182 at home to Aston Villa, is now just a -154 favorite.

Southampton is in the best recent Premier League form at 4-1-0 in their past five.

Liverpool has seen the most games go OVER 2.5 goal totals at 6-1 to the OVER. Liverpool matches have averaged 4.6 GPG.ย At the other end, both Wolves and Sheffield United play to lower-scoring affairs, both at 5-2 to UNDER 2.5 goal totals.

Leicester City may not jump out to early leads, but they come on strong as the game winds down. In four of their seven matches, theyโ€™ve been drawn at half-time, but have gone on to take the three points by the end of the match.
