  • The Bucks and Hawks play Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday July, 3rd
  • There is uncertainty over the availability of Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) and Trae Young (ankle)
  • Read below for the best player prop bets for Saturday’s game

Like so much of this season, the Eastern Conference Finals could be decided by injuries. Trae Young (ankle) has sat out the last two games, while Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) missed Milwaukee’s Game 5 win and is listed as doubtful for Game 6. The Greek Freak is unlikely to play on Saturday, though reports have suggested he would return for a potential Game 7 at Fiserv Forum.

Milwaukee is 2.5-point underdogs for Game 6. Mike Budenholzer is banking on big nights from players across his roster once again with Antetokounmpo not expected to play. Brook Lopez, in particular, was exceptional in Game 5.

Go Again With Huerter

It was a narrow miss with our Kevin Huerter prop for Game 5. We go again with Red Velvet in Game 6.

The former Maryland wing has seized an opportunity in this postseason. With De’Andre Hunter ruled out and Cam Reddish only recently returning, Huerter has broken out in these playoffs. Beyond the knockdown shooting, it’s been so impressive how Huerter has helped his team even when his shot isn’t falling.

The 3-for-12 from the field might have stopped our prop in Game 5, but Huerter was still impactful. He finished with seven assists, two steals and a block. He often took the toughest defensive assignment, spending much of the game on Khris Middleton or Jrue Holiday.

No one seems to know whether, or how much, Trae Young will play. The backup point guards are Lou Williams and Kris Dunn, but when sharing the floor with either of them, Huerter often takes on the playmaking responsibility. Dunn and Williams combined for six assists in 43 minutes in Game 5.

Huerter is an accomplished passer, who can pick out open perimeter shooters or feed the ball to the lob threats of Clint Capela and John Collins. With 21 assists in his last three games, there’s good value backing him to record five or more on Saturday.

Pick: Kevin Huerter over 4.5 assists (+112)

Atlanta Can’t Stop Lopez

Everything changes for the Bucks when Giannis Antetokounmpo is off the floor. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday have the ball in their hands much more. Perhaps the biggest alteration, though, is where Brook Lopez functions. Lopez has morphed into a spot-up shooter for most possessions when sharing the hardwood with the two-time MVP.

With no Giannis in Game 5, Lopez was able to revert to what he does best. He was rolling to the rim, he was attacking mismatches in the post, and he was effective on the offensive glass against smaller Hawks defenders. Lopez scored 33 in Game 5, a career playoff high. His 18 field goal attempts were his most in a game since a February loss to Utah.

Such efficiency is unlikely to be repeated in Game 6, but the way the Hawks defended Lopez will influence how the Bucks run their offense. Atlanta was often lost when Lopez rolled to the rim, leaving the veteran center open for several easy finishes at the basket. His post game was in full flow against an array of Hawks defenders.

When taking 11 or more shots, Lopez has gone over this points total in four of five games in these playoffs. Getting into the teens in shot attempts seems very likely with Antetokounmpo not playing.

Pick: Brook Lopez over 15.5 points (-120)
