Timeform bring you the three best bets at Rockhampton on Friday…

“…he is expected to be right in the finish once again.”

Timeform on Stubai

#3 Flying Crackerjak – Rockhampton R6 (07:04)

Flying Crackerjak fought hard but was collared late on at the Sunshine Coast last week, but that is very strong form, the winner a smart horse in his own right, and a repeat of that performance should see him difficult to hold out here. Charles Seven is back up in trip and appeals as the chief threat, while Bold Hunter can fight it out for third.

#9 Stubai – Rockhampton R7 (07:42)

Stubai’s recent form is impressive for this race, including when making good headway from midfield to finish fourth at Townsville last time. He is no stranger to success here, breaking his maiden at this venue back in July, so he is expected to be right in the finish once again. Okie has been making headway with every start this campaign and looks to be working up to a big run, so he is feared most, with Windchill also a potential threat.

#8 Trump Me – Rockhampton R8 (08:20)

Trump Me got the job done in impressive fashion at Mackay last time, doubling his tally for the season, and considering his other victory came over this course and distance, he is expected to go close again. Nailed It Nan and Strawberry Blonde look the two to fight it out for second, while Svindal may also be able to stake a claim for the minor prize money.
