Just two runners for Joseph O’Brien on Saturday, but both Isotope and Tar Heel should run well, especially the former who is out to make amends for an unlucky defeat last time…
“The sort of form he was looking likely to show there should be enough to put him in the mix in a contest like this and hopefully he’ll run a big race.”
Will run a big race with a clear round
Wexford 14:05 – Isotope
Isotope has been better than ever on the Flat this year and was very unfortunate on his return to hurdling at Gowran Park in July. He was working his way into the race and JJ felt he was going to go close, but he was badly hampered at the second-last flight and unseated JJ. The sort of form he was looking likely to show there should be enough to put him in the mix in a contest like this and hopefully he’ll run a big race.
Tougher task but hoping he can run well
Navan 15:30 – Tar Heel
Tar Heel put it all together and gained a deserved victory in a maiden at this track last week. He has been slow to learn, but he has been improving with each of his starts and hopefully he can improve again here. I don’t think the return to five furlongs will be a problem for him, especially at this stiff track. This is definitely a tougher task for him, but hopefully he can run well.
