Los Angeles is looking for their eighth-straight win, while Denver has collected back-to-back victories. There are certainly some intriguing player props to keep an eye on here with two MVP candidates in James and Jokic going head-to-head. You also can’t forget Anthony Davis and, even Jamal Murray, although he’s struggled this season.

Jokic Tossing Dimes
The Joker is having another fine year from a playmaking standpoint as he continues to reinvent the center position. Jokic is averaging 8.6 assists per contest so far, but those numbers have been down a touch in his last 10 games at just 6.8.
It’s not a massive difference and we know that he’s more valuable to this team in more ways than one. But after two double-digit assist performances in his last four games, I think you’re going to see the Nuggets star facilitate at a high level against the defending champions.
The Lakers are usually efficient at limiting opposition assists, ranking 14th in the NBA. But, in their last three games, LA is allowing 28.7 dimes per night, which is second-worst across the league. Also, the last time Jokic faced their Conference rivals, he had a poor outing with just 13 points, nine boards, and six assists.
With a duel against another possible MVP candidate in James, the Joker is going to rise to the occasion this time around. He won’t just lead Denver in points. Jokic will also rack up a healthy number of dimes on Sunday.
Pick: OVER 7.5 assists (-133)
LeBron Gets Hot From Downtown
It doesn’t seem like the King is even aging at this point. LeBron is 36, and still playing like he’s 25. James really hasn’t missed a beat this season, averaging 25.6 points per contest and also dishing out 7.9 assists.
But there’s been one category where he’s showing improvement: three-point shooting. The 18-year vet is sinking 39.1% of his attempts from downtown, which is the best rate of conversion since the 2012-13 season when James was in South Beach.
It makes sense though. LeBron is attempting the most threes of his career at 6.8 per game. Although he’s always shown the ability to step back and hit the occasional three-pointer, it’s never been a staple of his game. This year, however, the King is actually looking like a legitimate shooter.
James has hit three or more attempts from long range in 14 contests this season, including a 7-for-10 performance against the Cavs then a 6-for-10 outing against Milwaukee. With just three months splitting the title win last year and the start of this season, there could be part of James that is slightly tired, although that doesn’t look to be the case. But for whatever reason, he’s resorting to pulling up and hitting threes instead of always barreling inside to the rim.
The Nuggets aren’t the best at defending long-range attempts either. They’re allowing 13.1 threes per game, which is 18th in the association. LA isn’t a great shooting team from outside the perimeter, but James has been an exception. He doesn’t even need an open look either, LeBron will literally fade away on one foot and hit a 30-footer.
It’s been a handful of games since he went off from downtown. Bet on the over here.
Pick: OVER 2.5 three-pointers made (-115)
