Wilson Rolling Into Start For LG

On the surface, it might seem a bit odd that the LG Twins are slight moneyline favorites over the Kiwoom Heroes, given that Kiwoom has won seven of the 11 matchups this year — including a 5-1 victory on Saturday.

But allow LG starter Tyler Wilson to make his case. Wilson is on a roll of late, posting a 3-0 record in his past four starts with a 2.74 ERA.

Wilson hasn’t been great against Kiwoom (0-1, 4.76 ERA in two starts), but he has done enough to give his squad a chance to win. That will certainly be the case Sunday if he continues throwing as he has been.

Pick: LG Twins (-120)

KT Wiz A Rightful Heavy Favorite

The hitters in KT Wiz Suwon’s lineup are probably pretty excited about facing Chad Bell and the Hanwha Eagles on Sunday, given how that has gone in the past.

Bell (0-6, 7.44 ERA) was shelled for five first-inning runs during a June 28 start against KT and wound up taking the loss.

Interestingly enough, KT Wiz’s starter (Odrisamer Despaigne) was the same that day as it will be Sunday, too. Despaigne is 2-0 with a 3.46 ERA against the Eagles this year.

Let’s not complicate things then, OK? Despaigne has beaten Bell and the last-place Eagles before. He can certainly do it again.

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon (-270)

Dinos, Tigers Face Interesting Run Line

The 10.5 run total for the NC Dinos vs KIA Tigers is interesting, given the teams are coming off their lowest run total this season in Saturday’s 3-2 win for KIA.

But consider the run totals for each of their previous matchups: 13, 11, 10, 13, 11. That’s a lot of scoring, but of course most of those totals hover right around the current line.

It’s no secret the Dinos garner much of their offense from home runs, as they’ve hit more than any other team (104).

KIA’s starter on Sunday, Im Ki-young, has allowed four homers in his past three starts. He also has allowed 18 runs in his past 19.2 innings of work.

That sounds like a winning recipe for the Dinos.

Pick: NC Dinos (-104) & Over 10.5 runs (-102)
