Fresh off his third straight podium finish, a run that has lifted him into third place in the NASCAR Cup standings, Kyle Larson looks to this weekend’s running of the Coca-Cola 600 as a narrow +500 favorite. Despite his current steady run, Larson has tallied just one victory so far this season and can expect to face stiff competition from rival drivers who have enjoyed past success at this event. The winner at this event in two of the past five years, martin Truex Jr. sits a close second to Larson as a +550 bet, while Kyle Busch vies for his second career Coca-Cola 600 title as a steady +650 wager.
Here’s a look at all the odds ahead of the 62nd running of the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM EST at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Kyle Larson on a Roll
It has been a somewhat streaky campaign for Kyle Larson as the scene shifts to Charlotte Motor Speedway. The 28-year-old has finished among the top five on six occasions but also endured a shaky run earlier this spring, during which he finished better than 18th just once over a five-race stretch.

Following back-to-back second-place performances at Darlington and Dover, Larson appears poised to take the next step. But the question remains whether he can break through at Charlotte, where he has enjoyed little success, finishing among the top ten just once in seven appearances, capped by last year’s dismal 33rd-place performance.

Martin Truex Jr Battling Inconsistency
Conversely, Martin Truex Jr. has been a force in Charlotte in recent years. The 40-year-old has turned around a losing track record at this event, with top ten finishes in each of past seven appearances, including four trips to the podium and a pair of wins.

But it has been a season of highs and lows for Truex, who has taken home the checkered flag on three occasions over his past 10 race appearances, while also finishing 19th or worse on four occasions during that stretch. Things got no better for Truex last time out in Austin, where he was involved in a scary crash with Cole Custer, on his way to a 35th-place finish. However, he is still the favorite in the NASCAR Cup Series odds.

Can Busch Rekindle Charlotte Magic
Kyle Busch has also struggled to maintain a consistent pace this season despite enjoying strong starting positions. The 36-year-old was forced to settle for 10th place last weekend in Austin after starting at No. 4 and has finished better than his starting position just once in his past five outings.
However, it is tough to overstate Busch’s credentials at Charlotte. The Las Vegas native has finished among the top four in each of his past four rides in the Coca-Cola 600, including his wire-to-wire victory at this event back in 2018.
Elliott Plagued by Off-Track Distractions
Chase Elliott sits just shy of the favorites in the Coca-Cola 600 odds as a +750 bet, and with good reason. The 25-year-old picked up his first win of the season in Austin after finishing third at Dover and has taken home the checkered flag in three of his past four races in Charlotte including last year’s edition of the Coca-Cola 600.

However, turmoil has struck the Elliott camp, with the recent arrest of his spotter Eddie D’Hondt stemming from accusations that he physically assaulted his pregnant girlfriend. After being permitted to work the last two races, D’Hondt is suspended this time around, which represents a blow for Elliott, whose association with D’Hondt dates back to early in his career.
The Pick: Martin Truex Jr. (+550)
