The Headline Pick: Mohamed Salah – Burnley (A)
I am sticking with Mo Salah as the headline pick for GW37, as he delivered a goal and maximum bonus points at West Brom, and his team have another must win fixture at Turf Moor on Wednesday.
There is no chance of rotation for the Egyptian, and he is also neck and neck with Harry Kane at the top of the goalscorer charts.
The Clarets are fresh from conceding four goals to Leeds on this ground, and while Liverpool aren’t at their brilliant best, they are still capable of racking up a big score.
Salah is 2/1 to open the scoring against Burnley.
The Budget Pick: Joe Willock – Sheffield United (H)
Newcastle may have been beaten by Manchester City last Friday, but they scored three goals to make it seven in two games.
Joe Willock might only be on loan at St James’ Park, but he has already developed into one of the fans’ favourite players.
In Gameweek 30, 32 and 33 he came off the bench to score, and since being rewarded in 35 and 36, he has kept his goal streak going.
At £4.7m with a home fixture against Sheffield United, he’s an absolute snip.
The VAR Pick: Bruno Fernandes – Fulham (H)
When it comes to penalties received this season, Manchester United top the charts with 10. They have scored nine and missed just one, with Bruno Fernandes slotting all nine of the converted ones.
Their opponents on Tuesday are Fulham, with the Cottagers looking completely cooked. They did rally at one point, but it’s just one point from their last eight outings – conceding seven goals across the three latest ones.
This is United’s final home match of the campaign, and with the Europa League Final just three days after this weekend’s final game, I think Solskjaer starts his best team here and rotates at Wolves.
It’s 21/10 for a penalty to be scored at Old Trafford.
The Sleeper Pick: Jack Harrison – Southampton (A)
I am in the lucky 4.7% of FPL players to own Leeds United’s Jack Harrison, and he delivered a wonderful 16 points at Turf Moor on Saturday.
The England U21 international notched his eighth goal, along with his eighth and ninth assist of the Premier League season, and he has another appetising fixture on Tuesday.
Leeds are away at St Mary’s, but the Saints aren’t keeping many clean sheet at present, and the visitors have scored eight in their last four away from Elland Road.
The Wildcard Pick: Timo Werner – Leicester (H)
There is no denying that Timo Werner has disappointed since his move from Leipzig, but he has 11 assists to go with his six goals, and for a forward, the former is only a point less than the latter.
Chelsea will be hurting after their FA Cup final defeat, but that should give them the advantage in this repeat at Stamford Bridge.
The onus is on Thomas Tuchel’s men to beat Leicester as they both will have to assume that Liverpool will take maximum points from their final two games. On that basis, Werner should get the nod, and he could get some joy against a slow Foxes defence.
Chelsea are 8/11 to beat Leicester.
