Swedish Player Becomes Latest Mega Fortune Millionaire

A Swedish player became Mega Fortune’s latest millionaire after hitting a whopping €2.6 million (SEK28 million) jackpot on NetEnt’s hit title late last month.

The unnamed player played the game on Svenska Spel Sport & Casino’s online gaming platform. The recently landed jackpot broke the gambling operator’s previous jackpot record. That previous jackpot was hit only a week before the record-breaking one.

Mega Fortune is one of NetEnt’s most popular progressive jackpot slots. The game was launched in 2012 and has since awarded multiple six- and seven-figure jackpots in a number of markets.

Mega Fortune features a standard 5-reel, 3-row grid layout and 25 fixed paylines. The grid is set against the backdrop of a luxury yacht docked in a marina. The perks of living a life of luxury form the theme this progressive jackpot slot is formed around.

Expensive rings covered in gems that show the playing cards, whiskey and a cigar, an expensive watch, and a wad of banknotes are only part of the symbols that can hit the game’s reels. The limo serves as the highest paying symbol, awarding 40x a player’s bet for five of a kind.

The slot’s Bonus Round is what makes it so popular with players as it is the feature that triggers the jackpot wheels. Three Bonus symbols unlock the feature. When activated, it presents players with the chance to win one of three progressive jackpots.

The feature has three wheels that players need to spin. The main goal is to get to the Mega Jackpot as it is the one that delivers sweet six- or even seven-figure jackpots.

The New Winner

The latest Mega Fortune millionaire played the game on Svenska Spel’s online casino to hit the Mega Jackpot on June 27.

As mentioned earlier the €2.6 million jackpot was the largest-ever won by a Svenska Spel online casino player and smashed the previous record.

A week before the record payout, another player from Stockholm hit the Mega Jackpot for a €238,500 (SEK2.5 million) win.

Commenting on the latest Mega Fortune jackpot win, NetEnt Chief Commercial Officer Andy Whitworth said that their global jackpot games continue to break records across the globe and that they are proud “to be able to bring such monumental wins to players through Mega Fortune.”

Mr. Whitworth said that at NetEnt they hope to continue to raise the bar “with even bigger jackpots in future.”

Niklas Örtbrant, Head of Online Casino at Svenska Spel Sport & Casino, said that “to break records twice in two weeks with such a significant jump from the second to first highest win is incredible” and that they cannot wait to see what the jackpot will climb to next time.
