Timeform on Isphan
#8 Piccadilly Square – Vaal R7 (14:00)
Piccadilly Square bounced back to form when fifth here last time, the step up in trip possibly showing her to better effect. She is up in distance again here which may prove the catalyst she needs to help her resume winning ways. Plum Field has been running consistently this year and another bold showing should be on the cards, while Sammi Moosa may also be able to make her presence felt.
#7 Isphan – Vaal R8 (14:35)
Isphan had been knocking on the door since the resumption and showed improved form to regain the winning thread over this course and distance last month, running out a two-length winner. A 6 lb rise doesn’t seem too harsh and he appeals as the one they all have to beat. Bold Ransom has been running well of late and is still lightly raced, so could pose the chief threat, while Ring Of Fire holds solid place claims.
#2 Donny G – Vaal R9 (15:15)
Donny G hasn’t been in the best form this year, but he is a four-time course winner here and has slipped in the weights to 8 lb below his last winning mark, so could be worth chancing at the forecasted prices. Garden Party is unexposed and can build on his handicap debut second debut over this course and distance last time, so will provide stiff opposition, while Blow Me Down takes a step back in trip as he bids to follow up his recent success.
