Timeform’s three best bets at Punchestown on Thursday 3 September

Timeform provide the three best bets at Punchestown on Thursday…

“She is selected to gain compensation now…”

Timeform on She’s Our Queen

Liffey River – 14:25 Punchestown

Liffey River is bred to be above average and shaped well when only narrowly denied on his debut at Gowran last month, only just failing to reel in the winner who looked potentially smart. There should be plenty more to come from Liffey River and he can go one place better. Hector de Maris showed plenty to work on when third on his Killarney debut and can build on that and provide a bigger threat than the more established Trusted Ally.

Sagrada Familia – 15:25 Punchestown

Plenty in with a chance but Sagrada Familia has already shown herself to be a fairly useful filly and this return to a longer trip should eke out some more improvement. The form of her latest run when third at the Curragh last time is working out well, with the winner, second and fifth all winning their next starts, so there is plenty of reason to be positive about her chances. Apricot Rose heads the list of dangers after her promising debut second at Killarney, although Astadash and Theophile are sure to make their presence felt too.

She’s Our Queen – 15:55 Punchestown

She’s Our Queen was well backed, and looked a bit unlucky on her handicap debut at Leopardstown three weeks ago, boxed in during the latter stages, leaving the impression she’d have won if able to fully open up. She is selected to gain compensation now, likely at the main expense of Zofar Zogood, who has been runner-up on her last two starts and can give Johnny Murtagh’s filly most to do.
